    Going up?

    Leslie Dukker Doty, Marketing Consultant

    What is your role?

As a Marketing consultant for DIGO, I am responsible for working with clients and the DIGO teams to identify and define the key business, marketing and communications objectives and insure that those objectives are supported and translated into breakthrough, market altering campaigns.

Why are you well positioned for it?

My diverse experience of over 20 years viewing business problems from a variety of perspectives; as the client, business consultant, owner of significant P&L’s and entrepreneur having launched a global advisory business. That, combined with my agency relationships as a creative agency collaborator, is a unique mix with a total business perspective lens. Having 360 views of business problems at an agency is quite unusual.

I am more than anything else a marketer and a strategist. I have been the client in the roles of Director of Marketing and Product Manager at Elizabeth Arden, Citibank and SunTrust and as an SVP and Strategic Marketing Consultant at MasterCard working with Fortune 500 companies around the world. My job has been to understand the competitive marketplace, find market opportunities from a marketing, analytical and financial perspective, define and understand the right customer for those opportunities, develop positioning strategies for businesses, brands and products and create and execute integrated marketing and communications strategies that successfully capture those market opportunities.

It is extraordinarily satisfying when all of that works together beautifully and elegantly. You get it, the customer gets it, the marketplace gets it and your efforts have created market advantage that changes the market or a company’s position in the market. to read more…

    What are your passions?

Professionally, growing businesses and helping them make money. Intellectually, consumer behavior and what are the emotional motivations that drive decision-making. Personally, supporting women in the workplace and helping women and children in need around the world live decent lives. Most importantly, I am passionate about my family, my husband and two wonderful and equally passionate children.

Why are you passionate about DIGO?

I have history and a legacy as the first client of DIGO. Mark DiMassimo and I started working collaboratively 16 years ago. One of the conference rooms is named after me, The Leslie Dukker Doty Center for Inspiration. I knew Lee Goldstein from when he was first starting out in the business and I have done my best work with DIGO and their teams. They are my professional soul mates. DIGO’s bonding strategy methodology and the discovery process of understanding the key motivation behind the emotional connection of customers to brands is a process that has worked from when we first developed the ground breaking “Or Was it the Miles” campaign together for the Citibank AAdvantage Card business and still works for the businesses we work on today. It has evolved as the world and customers evolve and change, but in today’s Social World, emotional connections, understanding them and utilizing them to translate into successful strategies are more critical than ever. Having the opportunity to leverage this process at DIGO with different clients and drive great success is all I want to do.
