    Going up?

Desiree Cortez, Director of Finance and HR

    What is your personal brand?
Ready. Smart. Thankful. Analytical. Altruistic. A Teacher.

    What drives you?
The vision. Passed down from generations before . . . My Big Daddy’s gift to me.

As good as things are at the moment, time alters every moment, moving it from A to B and sometimes quite swiftly.

The vision demands I be prepared for what the future holds.

I think and I think and I think and reason, even the unknown. Therefore, the hard, complex challenges, though daunting, are met with enthusiasm.

Tell us a personal growth story.
Just like Prissy, from Gone with the Wind, I didn’t “know nothin’ about birthin’ no babies” . . . and then I had twins. They shifted my focus. Now, I desire a better world for my children. I work harder and smarter today, building a tomorrow filled with opportunities and hope for not just my twins, but all of today’s children.
